About Martin

Martin J. Peck was born in 1968. He graduated with a B.A., cum laude, from Kansas State University in 1990 and from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif in 1993. While in law school, he served as executive editor of the Texas Law Review.

From 1993 to 1995, Martin was an assistant attorney general in the Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Kansas. Since 1995, he has been in private practice in Wellington, Kansas, first as a sole practitioner, then as a partner in DeJarnett & Peck, l.l.p., which became Hyndman & Peck, l.l.p. in 2005. In 2007, Hyndman & Peck l.l.p. dissolved, and Martin has been a sole practitioner since that time.

Martin is licensed to practice law in Kansas and Missouri, and is also admitted to practice before the Tenth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Tax Court.

Martin's practice areas include civil litigation, bankruptcy, business and estate planning, and some traffic work, usually involving tickets issued to over-the-road truckers. His email address is peck@martinjpeck.com.
